Girls in STEAM

Research confirms that women continue to be underrepresented in professional STEAM fields. If we don’t start educating girls in STEAM at school, their possibility for engaging in STEAM jobs remains diminished and fields that rely on science, technology, engineering and maths will continue to be male dominated and limits women in regard to their career opportunities and wage equity.

The question is ... how can we challenge outdated stereotypes and encourage girls in these areas? One simple way is with hands-on and engaging STEAM activities like making with Makedo!
